Band performance by 38th AR marks HGT campaign in Jiri

Jiribam, August 16 2025: As part of the nationwide Har Ghar Tiranga (HGT) campaign and the 79th Independence Day celebrations, Jiribam district administration in coordination with 38th Bn Assam Rifles, displayed a band performance playing the tune of 'Sare Jahan Se Achha Hindustan Hamara' at Jiribam Railway Station on Friday.

The band display was performed by 38th Bn AR bands in line with the Ministry of Defence organising band performances by the Indian Armed Forces, Central Armed Police Forces, and NCC to honour freedom fighters, foster patriotism and inspire the younger generation.

The band performances are a key element of the Independence Day celebrations and the HGT campaign with band performances being displayed at iconic locations across the country.

Ministry of Defence had selected Jiribam Railway Station for the same.

The band display was witnessed by DC Jiribam Krishna Kumar, SP Semmi Ramror, divisional forest officer E Nirmala Chanu, Jiribam SDO L Tarajeet Singh and other DLOs.
