Kakching, November 13 2024:
An owl rescued from a residential area and handed over to Naorem Omesh Singh, a member of the Joint Coordination Committee on Wildlife & Biodiversity (JCCWB) Manipur, has been released in Ikop Pat area of Thoubal district.
Noting that the ongoing crisis in the state is not only causing suffering to the people but also affecting the wildlife, as could be comprehended from occasional cases of wild birds and animals foraying into human settlements, Nature Vanguard Force secretary (organisation) Elangbam Premchand urged the public to report any such incidents to the nearest Forest Office or call JCCWB helpline at 9436227632 .
