Shija Hospitals lauds Dr Noornika, team

Imphal, April 12 2025: Shija Hospitals & Researchinstitute (SHRI) lauded Shija Hospitals consultant ophthalmologist Dr Noornika Khuraijam and her team for receiving the Best Poster Podium Presentation Award in the category of Orbit, Oculoplastic, and Lacrimal Disorders at 40th Asia-Pacific Academy of Ophthalmology (APAO) Congress.

A release issued by SHRI AGM Business Development Premjit Lourembam informed that the event, held in conjunction with the 83rd annual conference of All India Ophthalmological Society (AIOS), took place from April 3-6, 2025, at Yashobhoomi International Convention and Expo Centre, Delhi.

The award-winning presentation, titled "Double Eyelid Blepharoplasty with Levator Plication in Absent Lid Crease with Unilateral Ptosis", was authored and presented by Dr Noornika, with co-authors Dr Dimakumar Yambem, Dr Sachindra Laishram, and Dr Sarda Devi Chongtham, all consultant ophthalmologists at Shija Hospitals.

The work highlighted advanced surgical techniques in Oculoplasty and demonstrated high clinical relevance.

Dr Noornika has previously presented at major conferences, including the 33rd APAO Congress in Hong Kong in February 2018.She has also published extensively in peer-reviewed journals.

Shija Hospitals acknowledged the accomplishment and commended Dr Noornika Khuraijam and the team for their continued dedication and valuable contributions to the field of ophthalmology, the release added.
