Painting contest, awareness mark Clean Air Day event

Bishnupur, April 11 2025: In connection with observance of the International Day of Clean Air for Blue Skies, District Health Society, Bishnupur, in collaboration with National Programme for Climate Change and Human Health (NPCCHH) Cell, Bishnupur, organised awareness programme cum painting competition under the theme "Together for Clean Air" at Diligent Public School, Moirang on Friday.

The observance was conducted in two sessions with the morning programme featuring a painting competition for students from Classes VI to X, participated by over 160 students.

In the evening, an awareness programme was held with Bishnupur CMO Dr L Raichandra, District Nodal Officer of NPCCHH Cell Bishnupur Dr H Danny and Diligent Public School principal Dr K Bijyarani Devi as presidium members.

The top three winners of the painting Competition were awarded cash prizes of Rs 2000, Rs 1500 and Rs 1000 respectively.

In addition, seven participants received consolation prizes of Rs 500 each along with certificates of appreciation.

The event aims to raise awareness among young minds about the importance of clean air and collective action towards mitigating ar pollution.
