Imphal, June 10 2024: Legal Aid Clinic, RIMS Hospital under the aegis of District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Imphal West organised a one-day legal awareness programme at the community hall of LTYDO Club in Lalambung Takhellambam Leikai on Sunday.

Organised under the theme "Crime against women, POCSO Act 2012, Domestic Violence Act 2005, The Manipur Compensation Scheme for Women Victim/Survivor of Sexual Assault/Other Crimes 2023, NALSA (Legal Services to disaster victims through legal services authorities) Scheme 2010, and Right To Information Act 2005, and functions of legal services authority", the programme was attended by District and Sessions Judge, Imphal West cum DLSA Imphal West chairman Yumkham Rother and CJM cum secretary DLSA Imphal West Asem Tarunikumar.

During the programme, Crime against Women Court special PP attended as president, NB College, Khundrakpam retired principal and KLLNC chairman Dr Ngangom Ekashini as president and KLLNC advisor advocate Lukram Kiranmala as guest of honour.

In all, 200 people partic -ipated in the programme, which was also attended by KLLNC panel lawyer B Supriya and DLSA Imphal West petitioner lawyer Rk Imoba as resource persons.
