Cycle rally against drug abuse held

Pherzawl, August 09 2025:
As part of Nasha Mukht Bharat Abhiyan (NMBA), Pherzawl district administration and district police jointly organised a cycle rally on Friday at the district headquarters to raise awareness about the harmful effects of substance abuse and promote a healthy lifestyle.
The rally was flagged off by Pherzawl ADC Joel G Haokip, and witnessed active participation from district police personnel.
Clad in NMBA-brand-ed T-shirts, the cyclists rode through the main streets of the district headquarters, spreading the core message of the campaign, "Say No to Drugs, Yes to Life" .

Prior to the rally, additional SP Lunzamung Tungnung administered the NMBA pledge to the participants, reinforcing their shared commitment to building a drug-free society.
In a separate event, Manipur State Rural Livelihood Mission (MSRLM), Pherzawl, commenced a four-day Residential Community Facilitator Induction Training at Parbung village on Friday.
District mission manager T Zamlunmang informed that the training will be followed by sessions on Village Level Federation Management and Self-Help Group Membership Training in the coming days.
