C-19 caseload dips

Imphal, July 02 2025:
The state reported six fresh COVID-19 cases on Tuesday, the lowest infection in recent times, as per update from the Integrated Disease Surveillance Programme (IDSP) .
The new cases were detected from 33 samples tested, reflecting a daily positivity rate of 18.2 percent.
With the six cases, the cumulative tally in the state since official confirmation on fresh outbreak on June 1, reached 269 .
Imphal West district continues to report the highest number of cases, followed by Imphal East.
The number of active cases has now declined to 80, with the majority of patients placed under home isolation.
Meanwhile, recoveries continue to rise, with 189 patients discharged, so far.
The recovery figures now outpace the number of active cases.
No COVID-19 related fatalities have been recorded in the state so far.
