Kakching CSOs protest abduction of Thoubal duo

Kakching, October 01 2024: In endorsement of the protest movement launched by the 'JAC against the kidnapping of Oinam Thoithoi and Thokchom Thoithoiba of Thoubal by Kuki militants', Kakching-based civil society organisations (CSOs) staged a sit-in-protest at Kakching bazar on Tuesday and demanded immediate release of the two youths.

During the sit-in, protestors held placards inscribed 'It is too much! Centre & State Govt must act immediately', 'Withdraw central forces which cannot protect life and properties of civilians, from Manipur 'Prove existence of government', 'Take action against Kuki militants involved in the abduction for', etc.

The participants also raised slogans against the abduction and,called for firm action against Kuki militants.
