Student induction programme held

Dhanamanjuri University organised a student induction programme for newly-enrolled post-graduate students at the auditorium of DM College of Commerce, DM University, here, on Thursday.
Speaking on the occasion, Zoology Department head Prof L Hemchandra informed that student induction programme has been made mandatory following a 2018 notification issued by University Grants Commission (UGC).
Calling it an important event, he stated that such programme could help new students feel comfortable and adjust to their new environment, and learn about the institution's culture, ethos, policies, and processes before classes commence.
It will also help students build bonds with other students and faculty members, as well as to explore themselves and gain a sense of purpose," he added.
DMU registrar Dr RK Joteen, finance officer Rojendrakar Nongthombam, controller of examinations Th Jayantakumar, school of life sciences dean Prof Kh Rajmani, school of humanities dean Prof S Lanchenba, school of mathematical and physical sciences dean Prof L Nandababu, school of social sciences dean Prof K Indra-mani, school of business studies dean Prof N Jayanti, LMS Law College principal & DMU school of legal studies dean Dr RK Premila, DM College of Science principal Prof M Bhubaneshwari, DM College of Arts principal T Ranjit, and GP Women's College principal H Romi attended the event as presidium members.
