BSF reaches out to local communities in CCpur

CCpur, January 28 2025:
As part of its ongoing Civic Action Programme (CAP), the 10 Battalion Border Security Force (BSF) on Tuesday organised a welfare initiative at the Torbung Bangla camp of BSF in Churachandpur district.
According to a press release, essential items, including sports equipment, water storage tanks, sanitary pads, and incinerator machines, were distributed to assist the economically disadvantaged members of the community.
In addition, BSF canteen services were extended to 150 beneficiaries, facilitating access to affordable essential goods.
The programme was inaugurated by Praveen Kumar, 2IC/officiating commandant 10 Battalion BSF, in the presence of several dignitaries, including Santosh Kumar (deputy commandant), Subedar Major Anup KP, inspector Bhupender Singh (company commander 10 Bn BSF), Khupkhothang (headmaster of Government High School, Koite), as well as the village chiefs and community leaders from Sahenjang, Kipmonnom, Kaprang, Haolai Khopi, and S Kawtlian villages.
In his address, Praveen Kumar underscored the BSF's unwavering commitment to serving the people of Manipur through such initiatives and reaffirmed the force's dedication to conducting similar humanitarian efforts under the CAP.
He further emphasised the importance of fostering cooperation between the BSF and the community to address local challenges effectively.
The event concluded with a pledge from the BSF commandant to continue organising welfare programmes in the future.
