Pambei-led UNLF condoles demise of 'Oja Macha'

The Pambei-led United National Liberation Front (UNLF) has expressed deep condolences over the untimely demise of PREPAK chairman Heikrujam Ibotombi Khuman alias Ngamdairen Khuman alias Oja Inao alias Oja Macha and extended revolutionary salute to the departed revolutionary leader.
According to a Condolence note of Pambei-led UNLF, Oja Macha joined liberation movement from a very young age and served jail time in erstwhile East Pakistan (now Bangladesh) in 1969, while shouldering responsibilities for the motherland.
It recalled that he was later brought to India and lodged in jail till 1972, subjected to torture and harassment by the Indian administration.
Despite subjected to inhumane treatment in prison, Oja Macha continued to shoulder responsibilities, for the liberation movement of Manipur after release from jail and shared revolutionary thoughts with fellow revolutionaries, said the condolence note.
"The void left by the demise of Oja Macha is not only felt by PREPAK but also by the revolutionary movement of the WESEA region," it conveyed, and shared the pain and grief of Oja Macha's bereaved family, friends and well-wishers.
