KTOV condemns Sept 22 firing incident

Imphal, September 25 2024: Kom Tribe Organisation-Valley (KTOV) has condemned firing by miscreants- from the hill range of Litan Kom village with the intention to vilify the village.

In a release, KTOV called the shooting incident on September 22 from near Litan Kom village towards the Meetei village as an act of cowardice and to tarnish the reputation of innocent Kom people.

Kom is a peace community and had already made their stand clear to remain as Kom.

The shooting may be handiwork of some miscreants to disrepute the Kom community and create enmity with the Meeteis, it said.

Demanding those involved to declare their objective to the common people, it stated that such act of cowardice can never bring peace among different communities.

The organisation urged not to repeat such sinister and heartless act again in Kom areas.
