Thoubal cops seize liquor, disposed

Thoubal, February 25 2025:
Thoubal district police have seized large quantity of distilled illicit country (DIG) local as well as Indian made foreign liquor (IMLF) during conduct of anti-liquor drives.
The seized liquors were disposed of on Monday at the Thoubal Municipal Council dumping site located at Thoubal Khunou in the presence of local Meira Paibi members and district's Excise Department officials.
Speaking to the media at the SP's office complex, additional SP (Law and Order) N Suraj informed that the liquor consignments were seized from different parts of the district during drives conducted following receipt of information about open sale of DIC and IMF liquor.
The officer also announced continuous launch of similar drives and urged the public to extend cooperation.
The seized liquor include 240 bottles of Kingfisher beer (500 ml), 96 bottles of Sterling Reserve B7 (375 ml) and 36 bottles 750 ml, 36 bottles of Iconic White (750 ml), 48 bottles of Old Monk 375 ml and 24 bottles of 750 ml, 12 bottles of Mc Dowell No 1 (750 ml) and 307 bottles of 500 ml DIC liquor.
