Kakching, December 21 2024: A one day awareness cum screening camp on common cancers among women was held at Hiyanglam Makha Leikai on Saturday.

The camp was organised by Punsi Lamjing Meira VLF and Tamjanapham Self-Help Group Hiyanglam under the aegis of American Oncology Institute (AOI), Khabeishoi, Babina Diagnostics; Social Welfare Club (SWC), Hiyanglam Makha Leikai and Manipur State Rural Livelihood Mission (MSRLM) .

During the camp, specialist doctors of AOI sensitised the participants on common cancers affecting women.

Around 150 women from various areas of Hiyanglam were screened and tested for breast cancer, cervical Pap smear, diabetes, BP and pulmonary function.

Medicines were also distributed on the occasion, AOI Babina Speciality Hospital sale & marketing manager Gopen Trongbam informed.
