₹20K reward for info on paddy crop destroyer: LMG

Imphal, November 21 2024: Like Minded Group (LMG), Manipur extended financial assistance of Rs 5000 to Kh Mangijao (45) of Tendonyang Makha Leikai under Lamsang assembly constituency, whose harvested paddy kept for threshing at Tendonyang Houdong Loukon was set on fire by unknown miscreants around 7:30 pm on November 18 .

In a release, publicity secretary Rakesh Naorem informed that the monetary aid was handed over by LMG secretary Ojit Sorokhaibam, assistant secretary Surendra Ningomba, and executive members Birla Salam, Prity Ashem and Dhawan Naoroibam.

Ojit, meanwhile, condemned the heinous acts of destroying harvested crops of penurious farmers who toiled year round to make ends meet.

Appealing to all concerned not to repeat such acts, he also announced a reward of Rs 20,000 for information on the incident.
