AR conducts lecture on menace of drugs

Senapati, October 21 2024: With an objective to prevent substance abuse and spread awareness among the local youth, Assam Rifles organised a lecture on narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances at Hengbung on Monday.

During the session, officers from Assam Rifles provided insightful information on the legal framework under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, highlighting the severe consequences of engaging in drug-related activities.

The lecture sensitised the attendees on harmful effects of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances and how their misuse can severely impact individuals, families and society.

An interactive discussion session was also held where the participating youth engaged actively with the officers.
