RIMS conducts dental, medical camp

Imphal, August 18 2024: A dental and medical camp was conducted at Thangalawai Kangsoibi Fisherman Colony in Kumbi of Bishnupur district by RIMS Dental College Department of Paediatric and Preventive Dentistry and Public Health Dentistry.

As per a release, six dental doctors, one medicine specialist, one ENT specialist, two ophthalmologists & refractionists, one paediatrician and auxiliary staff attended the camp during which 152 children and adults were examined.

Various dental treatments including extractions, restorations and oral prophylaxis and dental care preventive measures like topical fluoride application along with medicines were provided.

Stationery and educational items were also distributed to the children, it added.

The release further mentioned that RIMS Dental College Department of Paediatric and Preventive Dentistry assistant professor Dr Ratna Yumkham also attended the camp which was organised as part of the series of activities under the 'ISPPD Nanhi-Muskan Project' and Swachhta Action Plan 2024-2025, focusing on uplifting the underprivileged children by improving the overall health and quality of life.
