CWAF celebrates foundation day

Imphal, January 13 2025: Cultural Workers and Activities Forum (CWAF), Manipur, an apex body of cultural organisations and activities, observed its 7th foundation day at the auditorium of Kanglei Mime Theatre Repertory, Langthabal, Imphal West on Monday.

According to a statement of the Forum, discourse on the present status of Manipur culture was the main highlights of the observance in which Imphal Theatre director L Dorendro, CWAF president Buddha Chingtham, and Kanglei Mine Theatre Repertory director Dr Y Sadananda attended as presidium members.

The observance began with the welcome and key note address by CWAF general secretary RK Sanatomba, in which he spoke about the background and objectives of the formation of the Eorum.

Members presents expressed concern over the present status of art and culture in the state.

They also expressed the need to carry on the artistic activities even though the state is facing a humanitarian crisis, the statement added.
