Chandel DH gets pre-delivery residential facility

Imphal, July 02 2025:
A new five-bed Pre-Delivery Residential Centre for pregnant women, furnished along with a Nutrition Rehabilitation Centre and Paediatric Ward, has been inaugurated on Wednesday at Chandel District Hospital.
The facilities were inaugurated by Chandel MLA SS Olish, in the presence of Chandel deputy commissioner L Nandakumar Singh, additional DC/CEO Firoz Khan, and CMO Dr Joyson Mathew Monsang, among others.
In her address, MLA Olish commended the dedication and tireless efforts of the hospital's medical staff, stating that their selfless service to every patient inspires her to continue ensuring the availability of essential provisions.
The MLA further expressed pride in the development and improvement of road and transport facilities in the district.
She also assured the public of further developmental initiatives in the near future and urged citizens to extend support and cooperation to newly posted officials to enable continued progress.
Speaking on the occasion, DC Nandakumar expressed appreciation for the hard work of the hospital team, emphasising that the District Hospital is the first among district hospitals to have such a facility, apart from JNIMS, in the state.
L Nandakumar further stated that, under the guidelines of NITI Aayog, the district has been able to achieve its scheduled parameters, made possible by the combined efforts of the district administration and the departments concerned.
The event was attended by various village leaders, government officials, and members of the public.
