Army promotes No Tobacco Day

In an effort to promote a tobacco-free society, Indian Army conducted a No Tobacco Day awareness programme at Indira Gandhi Hill Flower School, Mongkot Chepu, Litan on Saturday.
The event, attended by 120 students and 109 villagers, aimed to educate participants on the harmful effects of tobacco use and encourage a healthy lifestyle.
The programme featured a sketch-making competition where students artistically expressed the menace of tobacco use.
Additionally, class 9th and 10th students participated in an extempore speech competition on the dangers of tobacco use.
Health and dental checkups were provided to all students and elders, ensuring their well-being.
An informative lecture on the harmful effects of tobacco was also delivered, highlighting the importance of staying tobacco-free.
