Lions Club holds charter night, installation ceremony

Thoubal, July 31 2025: The 8th Charter Night celebration and installation ceremony of the Board of Directors for the Lionistic Year 2025-26 of Lions Club of Thoubal Greater was held on Thursday at the seminar hall of Waikhom Mani Girls' College, Thoubal Okram.

The function was attended by installation officer Th Kesho Singh and Lions Club Thoubal Greater Centurion's Y Guneshwari Devi as chief guest and president respectively, while PDG Lions Clubs International District-322D O Jugeshwor Singh and Zone XIV chairperson Naorem Uttamkumar Singh were the guests of honour.

The ceremony commenced with lighting of the charter lamp by Y Guneshwari, followed by a one-minute silent prayer for peace in the state.

Floral tributes were offered in memory of late Leishangthem Ahanbi Leima, a member of the Thoubal Greater Centurion, as a mark of respect.

Club secretary M.Neswari Devi presented the annual report, highlighting the various initiatives and community services undertaken by the club since its inception.

The event also featured the formal installation of the new Board of Directors for the Lionistic Year 2025-26 and a felicitation ceremony for the charter members.
