CRPF reaches out to public with CAP

In a bid to address the needs of the local population, and strengthen the bond between security forces and the public, B/08 Battalion CRPF organised a Civic Action Programme (CAP) at Irengbam village on Tuesday.
During the event, various sports items, including volleyball, volleyball nets, footballs and water purifiers were distributed to locals of Irengbam and Tera Urak.
In her speech as the chief guest, Oinam MLA Irengbam Nalini Devi acknowledged the support of central forces in assisting the people of the state, particularly those living in the foothills during these challenging times.
She commended the CRPF for its ongoipg efforts to extend assistance and encouraged the community to place their trust in the force to prevent any unwanted incidents.
Speaking on the occasion, Battalion commandant Chandra Shekhar assured that the CRPF would continue its humanitarian efforts in Manipur, while emphasising the importance of such initiatives in building stronger relationships with the people.
The event was attended by local village heads, public figures, officials of Bishnupur district police, CRPF personnel, B/08 OC Rajiv Kumar, 2nd-in-command Anil Kumar, DC Yogender Dagar, CMO Dr Bokam Nagmani, D/08 OC Santosh Kumar, E/08 battalion's Chanchal Mazumdar, ACs Vag Singh and Kiran Sonavane, DC Devarshi Singh, Bishnupur SDPO Khogen Singh and Nambol OC NK Sharma.
