22 new Dengue cases reported

Imphal, August 30 2025:
Twenty two new Dengue cases were reported in the last 24 hours, with Imphal West accounting for 12 cases, according to an official report.
The remaining 10 cases were reported from Imphal East (7), Senapati (2), and Ukhrul (1) .
This brings the State's total Dengue cases to 529, with Imphal West reporting the highest number at 386 cases.
Other districts with reported cases include Imphal East (67), Thoubal (24), Bishnupur (17), Senapati (10), Kakching (8), Ukhrul (7), Kamjong (3), Chandel (2), Churachandpur (1), Kangpokpi (1), Tamenglong (1), Noney (1), and Tengnoupal (1) .
Pherzawl and Jiribam remain Dengue-free.
One dengue-related death was reported from Bishnupur this year.
According to experts, Dengue mosquitoes breed in fresh water that accumulates in various household and outdoor containers, such as flower vases, broken utensils, unused tires, and even refrigerator trays.
These areas provide an ideal breeding ground for the Aedes mosquito, which spreads Dengue fever.
To prevent breeding, it is crucial to cover water containers , regularly inspect for stagnant water around homes and public areas, and frequently clean and dry containers.
