Team Nishikant extends aid to Jiri IDPs

Jiribam, July 29 2024: Team Nishikant visited Jiribam district and provided aid to displaced people staying in 3 camps today.

The members of the "Team Nishikant" provided the aid to camps set up for IDPs at Jiribam Higher Secondary School, Bidyanagar Multi Sport Utility auditorium hall and Chingdong Leikai Upper Primary School.

While handing over relief materials and other assistance at a camp, Maibam Prafullo, a member of Team Nishikant, said the aid was distributed by way of contributions made by members.

He said the team functions under Keishamthong AC MLA Nishikant Singh Sapam.

He said the team members contributed whatever they could to help the displaced people.

Maibam Prafullo also called on the Govt to provide adequate assistance to the displaced folks and bring about peace at the earliest.

Receiving the aid, N Nabachandra Singh, an inmate at Bidyanagar IDPs camp, said the people at the camp appreciate MLA Nishikant Singh Sapam and his team for providing assistance.

He thanked the team, and also appealed to the Government to end the crisis and allow the IDPs to return to their homes.
