Imphal, February 24 2025: The Manipur State Power Distribution Company Limited (MSPDCL) has warned all concerned not to tap power without proper authorization or bypass power meter.

A press release issued by MSPDCL Managing Director H Shantikumar informed that the company has already launched a drive across the State to check unauthorised tapping of power.

Any one found using power against rules and regulations can be penalised with power disconnection, imposition of fine or imprisonment under the Electricity Act 2003, it said.

Appealing to all the consumers to pay due power bills at the earliest, the MSPDCL Managing director warned that power connections of consumers who do not pay due bills will be disconnected without any further notice.

Moreover, necessary action will be initiated as per law against consumers with unauthorised connections.
