India has gained world's trust, respect: RK Ranjan

Dr RK Ranjan, External Affairs and Education Minister of State has categorically stated that in the last 75 years since Independence, India has not only joined the race towards development but gained the trust and respect of the world.
The Education Minister made the statement during a prize distribution ceremony held at Thambal Shanglen in Nityaipat Chuthek in connection with the state level painting competition organised by BJP, Imphal West on August 11 as part of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav celebration.
Altogether 651 students participated in the painting competition which comprised of three categories.
Speaking on the occasion, Minister RK Ranjan stated that the painting competition had been organised to make the students and youths depict how battles were fought, which freedom fighters laid down their lives for the nation and how independence was achieved in their canvases.
A Sharda, president, BJP State Unit, also addressed the gathering and asserted that the developmental efforts carried out by the double-engine Government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister N Biren Singh has increased people's faith in the Government as well as the BJP.
Touching upon the painting competition, she expressed her contentment upon learning that the students had made paintings in connection with independence day.
Further, she stated that there is a need to cultivate the inborn talent and skills present in the students.
In the class 3 - 4 category, Kh Neerupama of MI Academy; Aradhiya Naoshram of KV Akampat and Y Tomthinganba of St Joseph's Higher Secondary School were awarded the first, second and third prizes respectively.
In the class 5-7 category, Bikram Lourembam of Comprehensive School, Oinam; Sunaina Saikhom, KV and Thiyam Jessie, RK Sanatombi Devi were awarded the first, second and third prizes respectively.
Lastly, in the class 8-10 category, Douglas Lambamayum of St George School; Bishal Haobijam of Eminent School, Khoijuman and Irujam Marconi of Mother's Pride Academy received the first, second and third prizes respectively.
