BJP workers directed to avoid 'excesses'

Chief Minister N Biren and BJP Manipur Pradesh president A Sharda have instructed all BJP office bearers not to indulge in any offensive or excessive behaviour/activity but foster closer relationship with the masses.
As per instructions from BJP National leaders, N Biren and A Sharda have directed all BJP office bearers to focus on strengthening the party in order to ensure that BJP scores commendable victories in the urban local body and Panchayat elections which are scheduled in June, sources informed.
According to the sources, maximum efforts are being invested to complete the ongoing construction/renovation works of BJP office (Thambal Shanglen) at Nityaipat Chuthek at the initiative of N Biren.
With an eye on the next Lok Sabha election which is due next year and the ULB election scheduled in June, Biren and Sharda have instructed all BJP office bearers and workers to inform the masses about the welfare schemes and development programmes taken up by the BJP Government.
Notably, one BJP Mahila worker who was part of a team of BJP leaders from Manipur offered cash to a voter during an election campaign at a Manipuri inhabited area in Tripura recently.
As the particular episode went viral in social media, BJP Central leaders gave strict instruction to BJP Manipur Pradesh to avoid such excessive activities in the future, said the sources.
