Imphal, April 14: On the occasion of the 28th Raising Day of the Kangleipak Communist Party which falls today, the outfit has greeted the people of Manipur.

Briefing media persons at a location in Thoubal district today, KCP's Secretary of Information and Public Relations Department Ibungo Ngangom observed that during its 28 years of armed struggle launched in order to liberate Manipur from India, a number of brave revolutionaries have been lost but their blood have provided the greatest impetus to the struggle.

Despite the efforts of the Government of India to suppress the struggle, the Kangleipak Communist Party has not fallen into the grip of the alien rulers.

Acknowledging that the prolonged factionalism within the KCP, which 'has a multifaceted source,' is the biggest threat to the organisation and the liberation struggle, the outfit stated that finding a permanent solution to this problem remains one of their top priorities.

Inviting other revolutionary organisations of Manipur to play an impartial rather than partial role in the unification endeavour, it also disclosed that three revolutionary organisations of Manipur�� UNLF, KYKL and PREPAK, have already become involve in the unification endeavours of the KCP.

However these revolutionary groups have made a grave mistake by declaring and recognising the group led by Ksh Noyon as the only genuine KCP and other groups as reactionary elements.

On the other hand, the recent execution of 14 top officials,including Leibakmacha, by the Noyon-Ied group allegedly with the help of UNLF, KYKL and PREPAK was completely unjustifiable.

The charges labelled against the victims after the execution were also not acceptable at all.

Indeed, the wrongful execution will always remain a scar on the Noyon-Ied group of the party and other revolutionary groups instrumental in executing the 14 top revolutionaries of the KCP, it decried.

The British-pioneered 'Divide and Rule' policy, which the Government of India has adopted and applied to the whole of Manipur has badly affected not only the common people but also student community, civil organisations and even revolutionary group, it observed.

Conflicts and frictions among the indigenous communities, multiplication of student and civil organisations, inability of the revolutionary groups to unite are a manifestation of the negative impacts of the 'Divide and Rule' policy of India.

"The only means of defeating the Government of India's 'Divide and Rule' policy is to bring unity at all levels.

Unless and until we are united we will never be able to liberate Manipur", asserted Ibungo Ngangom.

As far as the economy of the State is concerned, it is no longer viable.

However this does not mean that the State cannot recover its economic viability.

To be economically viable, the foreign population in the State should be driven off and prevent manipulation of the State's economic affairs and aspects by foreign elements.

Asserting that most part of Imphal city, which is the biggest market place of Manipur, has become the monopoly of the bourgeois foreigners who are excessively expansionist in outlook, Ibungo Ngangom noted that the presence of bourgeois foreigners and migrant workers in the tiny State of Manipur is a real threat to every aspect of its economy.

The bourgeois foreigners have already extended their monopoly in other major market places like Churachandpur Bazar, Thoubal Bazar and Moreh Bazar.

Calling to drive off the foreign population under any circumstances, the outfit cautioned that the indigenous Manipuris will suffer the same fate that the indigenous Tripuris had suffered a few decades ago in case the foreign population is allowed continued settlement in the State.

The armed struggle has arrived at a crucial juncture.

At this juncture, it is crucial to adopt the communist doctrine that every individual should give according to his abilities and receive according to his needs, Ibungo Ngangom exhorted.

The outfit further conveyed gratitude to the people of Manipur for their overall assistance, which enabled the outfit to continue, and make good progress in their struggle for restoration of the lost sovereignty and independence.
