Imphal, May 13 2026: Chief Minister Yumnam Khem-chand Singh has extended heartfelt condolences upon the demise of Padma Shri awardee Ksh Thouranisabi Devi yesterday.

In a condolence message, the Chief Minister described Ksh Thouranisabi Devi as a distinguished Manipuri classical dancer and Sankirtana singer.

He called her a towering personality, whose immense contributions, dedication and service to society will always be remembered with great respect and admiration.

Her invaluable legacy and lifelong commitment to preserving and promoting Manipur's rich cultural heritage has left an indelible mark on the people of Ma-nipur and beyond," said the Chief Minister.

He has extended solidarity to the bereaved family and prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace.
