INDIA Bloc gears up for mass protest

The Indian National Development Inclusive Alliance (INDIA) Bloc has announced that it will launch a strong mass movement in order to save democracy and the country's Constitution.
Speaking to media persons at Congress Bhavan, BT Road here today, INDIA Bloc convenor and CPI(M) State Secretary Ksh Shanta said that the whole country is heading into a chaotic and tumultuous situation following the establishment of the BJP-led NDA Government at the Centre.
He said that the BJP has put the whole country under an authoritarian regime.

Many journalists have exposed how Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Gyanesh Kumar has been dictating terms in total contravention of all established rules and norms without consulting any of the two Election Commissioners.
Gyanesh Kumar has been manipulating/amending the Election Commission's rules in order to keep BJP in power, Shanta said.
The CEC has been facilitating stealing of votes with an ulterior motive to keep BJP Manipur.
INDIA Bloc is fully prepared to launch a strong mass movement all over the country in order to save India and democracy, he said.
In the wake of the INDIA Bloc's country-wide protest, constituent parties of INDIA Bloc held a meeting on October 4, 2026 at Hotel Imphal and it was presided over by former Chief Minister and MPCC president O Ibobi.
Shanta said that the meeting resolved to launch a strong mass movement in Manipur too in order to save democracy, the Nation and the Constitution.
The meeting held yesterday was participated by re- presentatives of Congress, CPI(M), Shiv Sena (Udhav Thackeray), Revolutionary Socialist Party (RSP), All India Forward Bloc, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Manipur Pradesh Trinamool Congress and NCP (Sharad Pawar) .
The INDIA Bloc Manipur convenor said that they will stage strong protests in front of the Chief Electoral Officer Manipur's office and at different districts until CEC Gyanesh Kumar is removed from his current position, he said.
He said that the INDIA Bloc Manipur will invite other registered political parties active in Manipur to join the protest movement.
CLP leader K Meghachandra said that constituent political parties of INDIA Bloc Manipur including both National and regional parties will launch a strong protest movement to check the BJP Government's design to steal votes.
Appealing to all the people of Manipur to support the INDIA Bloc's protest, Meghachandra called upon all sections of people to stand united and firm in order to save democracy from the dangerous conspiracy hatched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and CEC Gyanesh Kumar.
He appealed to all people to work together in order to save democracy and the country's Constitution, and remove Gyanesh Kumar from the position of CEC .
Dr Khwairakpam Loken said that peace and normalcy will remain a far cry in Manipur as long as there is a BJP-led Government.
He said that it's time to uproot the NDA Government from the soil of Manipur.
Loken said that the INDIA Bloc has already launched a "Save Democracy, Save Constitution, Save Nation" campaign in different States.
He also called upon all sections to launch a strong movement in order to save Manipur from the hands of BJP and its allies which failed miserably to protect people's lives and properties.
