Imphal, September 30 2026:
The Socialist Revolutionary Party (SOREPA), Kangleipak has asserted that a collective struggle can safeguard the indigenous people from the current violence.
On the occasion of its fifth raising day, SOREPA has greeted all sections of people.
SOREPA Chairman Toijam Ibochouba has also offered revolutionary salute to all the martyrs in the course of the revolutionary movements being waged in Kangleipak/Manipur and WESEA .
The Chairman has also paid homage to all the people who sacrificed their lives in the fight against illegal immigrants who have been waging an armed aggression allegedly in collusion with the Government of India to break Manipur.
Ibochouba has conveyed best wishes to all revolutionary organisations of Kashmir, Khalistan, South Asia and South East Asia.
A statement issued by Toijam Ibochouba said that SOREPA which started as a very small organisation has now grown into a mature organisation but it is yet to achieve the status of a full fledged organisation.
At the initial stage, many people asked whether the principles of Marxism-Leninism could be planted on the soil of Kangleipak when the same principles had collapsed in Russia.
In spite of the many such questions from different sections of people, SOREPA has been working relentlessly for its growth.
The revolutionary movement whose ultimate objective is establishment of an egalitarian society will also protect the identity of Kangleipak/Manipur and restore its lost sovereignty, Toijam Ibochouba said.
He alleged that the underlying principle of all policies of the Government of India is creating divisions among communities and annihilating the liberation movement.
A collective struggle can protect the indigenous people from the current violence.
It is imperative to strengthen the liberation so that all the indigenous people can live as equals, he said.
The SOREPA Chairman said, "When we realise who we are, we can easily identify the comprador class and all collaborators of the alien rule.
Knowing the enemy is a big step forward for the revolutionary movement" .
Expressing satisfaction over the recent unification of indigenous people, the Chairman warned that the Government of India will take recourse to several overt and covert policies to destroy this unity.
He asserted that this bond of unity among the indigenous people needs to be strengthened and made a long lasting one.
The National question of Kangleipak/Manipur must be based on the long, common history of independence and the inseparable bond shared among the indigenous communities, he said.
The National question of Kangleipak/Manipur needs further study and this question is one area which must be studied repeatedly in the course of the ongoing liberation movement, Ibochouba said.
Once a satisfactory and comprehensive answer to this question is found, the idea of egalitarianism, common position of indigenous people, liberation movement, territorial integrity, economic independence and collective responsibility can be discerned without much difficulty, read the statement issued by the SOREPA Chairman.
It said that the answer to the National question of Kangleipak/Manipur will be true if the same question is studied based on historical dialectics.
Socio-economic, cultural and political boundary of a Nation cannot exist without the Nation's indigenous population.
The basic elements of an independent Nation are its population, political boundary, economic independence, history of its indigenous people, culture, traditional festivals, folktales, astronomical and mathematical philosophy, it said.
If an independent Nation must be established, free from all forms of exploitation, the indigenous population must be protected, it said.
"The biggest battles being fought by the people of Kangleipak/Manipur after India forcibly annexed it are the battles to protect our identity and economy", read the statement.
Despite knowing this fact and sustained movements to protect the economy and the identity, the people of Kangleipak/Manipur are taking to the Indian way of life more and more.
On the other hand, India has been planning all the while to assimilate peoples of WESEA into India, it said.
The Government of India's dual policy of facilitating external migration and settler colonialism based on the idea of Akhanda Bharat which is aimed at triggering internal displacement came to the fore in May 2023, read the statement.
With it, political scholars across the world have realised the colonial political character of India, it said.
The SOREPA Chairman remarked that outsiders have become a dominant force in Kangleipak/Manipur.
He said that India cannot build its colonial power or annihilate the indigenous people without settler colonialism.
He alleged that India is committed to strengthen their colonial rule by marginalising indigenous people, obliterating their identity and creating unrest in the society.
On the other hand, collaborators of the alien rule have been claiming that association with India can protect territorial boundary, identity and economy of Kangleipak/Manipur.
This claim is illogical, and misleading.
Rather this is a deliberate attempt to defend the alien rule and defeat the struggle to create an egalitarian society, Toijam Ibochouba said.
