Imphal, August 31 2025: Security forces continued to conduct search operations and area domination exercises in the fringe and vulnerable areas across districts in the, last 24 hours, and recovered huge quantities of arms and ammunition, said Manipur Police Control Room.

From the inter-village road connecting Ngairangbam and Longa Koireng vllages under Patsoi police station, Imphal West yesterday, security forces recovered one 7.62mm SLR, one INSAS Rifle, one modified .303 Rifle along with one magazine, four local made Bolt Action Single Barrel Rifles, four Pistols along with magazines, three empty magazines of INSAS LMG, two empty magazines of INSAS Rifle, one empty magazine of SLR Rifle, one monocular night vision, six .303 ammunition, six cartridges and two Baofeng hand-held sets.

From an area under Kongba Maru Hill Range under Sagolmang police station yesterday, security forces recovered two DBBLS, one 9mm Pistol with one magazine, one .32 Pistol with one magazine, one country-made Pistol with one magazine, two Pompis, seven 9mm live rounds and one empty case, twenty-one) 12 Bore live cartridges, thirty-nine JMK 3T cartridges, fifty-two MK 12T cartridges, two 36 HE hand grenades, one Motorola hand-held set, two Baofeng hand-held sets and one ammunition box.
