6th North East Thang-Ta Festival concludes

Imphal, January 28 2025: The 6th Northeast Thang-Ta Festival held from January 19 at the Yumnam Huidrom Thang-Ta Shanglen of Huyel Langion Thang-Ta Association, Manipur, concluded on Tuesday.

In a release, the Association informed that the closing function was attended by Bishnupur District Huyel Langlon Thang-Ta Association, president Thiyam Shantikumar Luwangcha, Huyel Langlon Thang-Ta Association, Manipur president Huidrom Premkumar Singh and Luwang Thang-Ta Academy, Khurai secretary Nongthombam Noren Meetei as chief guest, president and guest of honour respectively.

6th North East Thang-Ta Festival concludes

The festival was participated by 154 Thang-Ta students and instructors from 17 institutions.

As a part of the festival, the student participants were also trained on techniques and forms of Thang-Ta besides competing in various categories, it added.
