Sit-ins continue for disturbance-free education

Bishnupur, July 26 2024: Students of different schools and colleges in Bishnupur district on Friday organised sit-in protests in their respective institutions under the aegis of Coordinating Committee on Disturbance Free Educational Zone to demand disturbance-free education.

Protests were held at CI College, Modern Higher Secondary School, SK Women's College, L Sanoi College, St John English School, Brighter English School, Special Regular English School, Oinam Higher Secondary School, Ningthoukhong Higher Secondary School, Mangolnganbi College, Moirang Multipurpose Higher Secondary School, Advance Intermediate College, Diligent Public School, Sanatombi Oriental School, and BK Golden School.

Students held placards with slogans demanding enactment of law to ensure conduct of minimum classes for 220 days in a calendar year, timely execution of relevant works and processes, cessation of exorbitant monetary demand to educational institutions, corruption, nepotism and favouritism in education sector.
