Workshop on safe sewer and septic tank cleaning held

Thoubal, August 21 2024: A day-long workshop on the theme "Prevention of Hazardous cleaning of sewers and Septic tanks" was organised by National Safai Karmachari Finance and Development Corporation under the aegis of Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment at the Sorokpokchao conference hall of Thoubal Municipal council, on Wednesday.

Speaking at the workshop held under National Mechanise Sanitary Ecosystem (NAMASTE) scheme, NAMASTE state coordinator Konjengbam Dayananda said that the primary goal of the workshop was to raise awareness about the need to prevent accidents caused by improper sewer cleaning practices and to ensure safe cleaning of sewers and septic tanks.

The workshop was attended by Thoubal Municipal Council Caretaker Chairperson Th Shyamo, NAMASTE North East Coordinator Akash Sharma and safai karmacharis of Thoubal Municipal Council.
