Judge donates blood for kids' cause

Imphal, January 17 2025: Supporting the scheme of 'Free blood for children' launched by Helping Hands for People, Manipur, district and sessions judge, Ukhrul Reena Serto donated blood at JNIMS blood centre on Friday.

In a release, Helping Hands for People president Prem-jit Moirangthem noted that blood donation by those in the legal profession is very rare owing to their hectic work schedules.

It also quoted Reena Serto as saying that the Supreme Court had issued directives to the legal fraternity to extend all possible assistance to Thalassemia patients.

Commending Helping Hands for People for the recent launch of a campaign to provide blood to paediatric patient free of cost, she appealed to all able-bodied citizens to donate blood and save the life of children.
