Bishnupur, February 15 2025: A man found fatally stabbed in the courtyard of Oinam Tangba Singh, son of (late) O Ibohal Singh of Ningthoukhong Kha Leikai Ward No 5 at around 2:10 pm on Friday, succumbed to his injuries.

The victim has been identified aS Aheibam Roshan (27), son of (late) A Raghumani Singh of Loktak Project Santipur.

According to police report, on receiving the information at around 2:40 pm on Friday, a Bishnupur commando team immediately rushed to the spot and evacuated Roshan to the District Hospital, Bishnupur for medical treatment from where he was referred to RIMS, Imphal.

On arriving at RIMS, the doctor declared him brought dead.

Meanwhile, preliminary investigations into the incident revealed that the daughter of O Tangba had eloped with the deceased a few days back.

A case has been registered at the Bishnupur police station and further investigations are on.
