Assam Rifles celebrates Children's Day

Assam Rifles organised vibrant Children's Day celebrations at New Samtal, Old Samtal, Sehlon, Phoilen, Tuitong and Kovang villages in Chandel district, bringing joy and fostering community spirit among the local children and their families.
The events featured a variety of engaging activities that encouraged creativity, talent, and interaction.
Highlights of the celebrations included educational and cultural programmes featuring drawing and essay competitions, poem recitations, and captivating cultural dance and song performances; all of which saw enthusiastic participation from children.
Traditional games and recreational activities, such as tug-of-war and athletic competitions, added to the excitement, promoting camaraderie among the young participants.
Educational kits and prizes were distributed to reward achievements and further motivate the children.
Additionally, a health and hygiene awareness session was conducted for children and families, underscoring the importance of healthy living practices, according to a press release of PRO IGAR (S) .
