Sit-in protests 'unfair' monetary demand

Imphal, August 07 2024: Denouncing unaffordable monetary demands made by different organisations, students and teachers of Keishamthong High School staged a sit-in protest at their school gate on Wednesday.

Speaking on the sidelines of the protest, School headmistress Salam Sunita Devi noted that teachers are constantly under stress due to outrageous monetary demands served by different organisations to the school regardless of the fact that they have been extending all possible help from time to time.

As such, she urged all concerned to abstain from placing exorbitant monetary demand to the school.

While stating that such demand has disrupt ed the academic atmosphere as the teachers could not focus on their mandated duty, she called for making educational institutions disturbance-free zone.
