BSF ADG Mahesh Kumar reviews security situation in state

Imphal, August 03 2025: Kolkata-headquartered BSF Eastern Command's additional director general (ADG) Mahesh Kumar Aggarwal arrived on a two-day visit to assess the prevailing security situation in the state and review operational preparedness of the BSF companies deployed in the violence-affected state.

According to BSF M&C Frontier PRO, the ADG arrived at Tulihal International Airport on August 1 where he was received by M&C IG Ravi Kant and other senior BSF officials.

Later, the ADG along with the IG called on Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla.

Mahesh Aggarwal also met security advisor Kuldiep Singh and DGP Rajiv Singh, followed by visits to various BSF locations in Thoubal district and interactions with commanders and troops deployed.

On August 2, the ADG along with other senior officers visited various BSF locations in Bishnupur and Churachandpur districts.

In Churachandpur, he also visited the STG and held a Sainik Sammelan addressing officers and troops, the PRO informed.

Informing that the ADG also directed officers and troops to perform their assigned tasks with utmost dedication and professionalism towards maintaining law & order situation in Manipur, the PRO added that the ADG left for Kolkata on August 3 .
