Attestation parade of BSF held at Churachandpur

The attestation parade of Border Security Force (BSF) batch number 251, comprising 164 newly inducted recruits, was held on Saturday at the Subsidiary Training Centre (STC), Churachandpur.
According to a release issued by STC, Churachandpur, the programme was attended by inspector general Indra Deo Singh, a decorated officer of the BSF having vast experience in operations and training, as the chief guest.
He reviewed the parade and took the salute of the impressive parade.
The event was also attended by dignitaries from civil administration, representatives from other Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), senior officers, troops, family members of the BSF personnel, students of Kendriya Vidyalaya and media persons.
The Saturday parade marked the culmination of a rigorous 44-week-long basic training programme, during which the 164 Seema Paraharis, enrolled as head constables and constables in various categories, demonstrated their discipline, skill, and dedication.
They have now taken the oath to serve as trained soldiers, committed to safeguarding the sovereignty and integrity of the motherland across different regions of the nation.
Following the parade, spectators enjoyed a series of spectacular cultural and martial arts displays, including a band performance by the Mizoram Cachar (M&C) Frontier, a Lazuim show, patriotic fusion dance, Indian martial arts, unarmed combat demonstrations and pt jump show, all of which were highly appreciated by the audience.
The parade symbolised the dedication and preparedness of BSF personnel and also reinforced the commitment of the force to ensure national security, the release added.
