INDIA bloc team meets IDPs at Moirang

Members of Indian National Democratic Inclusive Alliance (INDIA) Bloc, formed by 10 polit ical parties, met people displaced by the conflict and taking shelter in relief camps set up at Khoyol Keithel, Okshongbung High School and Thangjing guest house and discussed about their grievances at Moirang Phairembam Leikai Mandop on Tuesday.
The meeting organised by INDIA Bloc was attended by CPI former state secretary L Sotinkumar, CPM state secretary Ksh Shanta, MPCC working president Kh Debabrata, vice president Hareshwor Goshwami, Forward Block representative Kh Gyaneshwar, NCP Manipur president S Iboyaima Singh, CPI (M) executive Sarat Salam, AITC Manipur co-convenor N Thanin, AAP Manipur coordinator Th Vishwa-nath, Moirang AC former MLA P Sharatchandra, MPCC general secretary (administration) S Jiten, MPCC general secretary H Meghachandra Mangang and Bishnupur District Congress Committee president Md Nur Rahman as presidium members.
Speaking at the meeting, Debabrata ruined strain in the relationship between hills and valley due to the conflict and accused the BJP government of being indifferent to the suffering of the people displaced by the conflict.
The government has failed to protect the property of the displaced people, he charged.
Stressing the need for setting up an office to hear inconveniences of the relief camp residents, Debabrata urged the government to accord importance in promptly addressing grievance of the violence-affected people.
Moreover, he said that INDIA Bloc will demand resettlement of displaced people to.their respective homes during the assembly session.
