Imphal, June 27 2025:
Rilram Area Maring Organisation (RAMO) has resolved to continue the people's movement against the "imposed border fencing" by the Government of India and the scrapping of the Free Movement Regime (FMR) along the Indo-Myanmar border.
In a release issued Friday, RAMO stated that the decision was adopted during an emergency assembly held Thursday at Kambang Khunou village.
The organisation reaffirmed its opposition to what it termed as the imposed measures that threaten traditional movement and rights along the international boundary.
The assembly also resolved to support and stand with the call given by All Naga Students' Association, Manipur (ANSAM) for office picketing.
RAMO further informed that it will always support any movement or agitation initiated by ANSAM in this regard.
