Bust of 'Martyr' Biyash Ningthoujam unveiled

The bust of 'Martyr' Biyash Ningthoujam, who sacrificed his life for the integrity of Manipur during the on-going Meetei-Kuki conflict, was unveiled by former UNLF chairman RK Sanayaima at Maibam Lotpa Chingning Awang Leikai on Sunday.
The programme jointly organised by Apunba Maibam Club, local meira paibi group, Biyash Ningthoujam Memorial Trust and Peace Committee, Kangleipak was also attended by ICHAM ex-president N Rajendro Singh, Peace Committee president Kh Rajesh, United Protection Committee (UPC), Nambol convener Th Lamjingba Meitei, Women s Wing secretary L Premila Leima, and ANUL, Bishnupur president L Pramo Leima.
Addressing the event, Sanayaima called upon the present generation to never forget the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for Manipur, as it is due to the sacrifices of the martyrs in the ongoing conflict that people of the state are living a secured life.
He also called on the indigenous community of the state to live in harmony as it only then the state's integrity can be protected.
