Army celebrates International Yoga Day in NE states

Indian Army celebrated the 10th International Yoga Day across Assam, Nagaland, Mizoram, Tripura, and Manipur, with over 5,446 participants emphasising the holistic benefits of yoga for physical, mental, and spiritual well-being.
The day featured synchronised sunrise yoga sessions and community engagements, highlighting the Army 's commitment to wellness, unity, and peace.
A statement issued by PRO, PIB (DW) informed that in Manipur, 3,454 personnel participated in events across various locations including Moreh, Gwaltabi, Senapati, and Leimakhong.
Assam saw 1,601 participants in multiple districts, with special sessions at Kakopathar Junior College and an orphanage.
Tripura hosted 197 participants in Agartala, Mizoram had 71 in Aizawl, and Nagaland saw 123 in Chakabama, Zakhama, and Dimapur.
These celebrations showcase the Indian Army's dedication to promoting yoga's benefits, fostering community ties, and honouring the ancient tradition that contributes to global harmony.
The Army extends warm wishes to all, celebrating yoga as a symbol of unity, health, and inner peace.
