Awareness on hit & run compensation scheme begins

Imphal, January 22 2025: Imphal East district administration in collaboration with district transport officer, Imphal East and Nehru Yuva Kendra (NYK), Imphal East launched awareness campaign on the theme 'Hit and run motor accident compensation scheme' .

In a release, NYK Imphal East in-charge Kh Ajmal Shah informed that the awareness campaign that began on January 17 was flagged off by Imphal East deputy commissioner Khumanthem Diana Devi at Porompat.

The programme will continue till January 23 .

A road safety awareness campaign and volunteering support for road traffic was also jointly organised on Monday by NYK Imphal East, district transport office and IDTRC at Lamlong, the statement added.
