IOM celebrates 15th foundation day

Imphal, August 21 2024: Images of Manipur (IOM) celebrated its 15th foundation day at LTYDO community hall located near MM Gas Godown, Lamphel on Wednesday.

The celebration was attended by Seishak Seitam Sanglen (SSS) artist and Manipur State Kala Akademi awardee Thongam Gose Meitei as chief guest, Images of Manipur advisor Nando Soibam as president and Laininthou Sanamahi Temple Board member secretary Maisnam Shivdutt as guest of honour.

As part of the celebration, a workshop cum production of Documentation of Manipuri Folk Song was held, followed by presentation of lifetime achievement awards to Thang-ta artist Okram Manglem and Meitei song artist Sarungbam Tharonganbi Leima.

The IOM Star awards were also presented to Samulailatpam Aruna of Nagamapal Singjubung Leirak for Nat Sankritan, Dr Pukrambam Tejpati Devi of Cosmopolitan Cultural Institute, Pishum Ningombam Leirak for dance, Sanjoy Konjengbam of Khagempalli Pankha Nganappi Thong for Pung, and SKTV editor Raj Nongthombam.
