Sainik School lauds alumnus on receiving Vir Chakra

Imphal, August 18 2025: Sainik School Imphal has lauded the achievement of its alumnus, squadron leader Rizwan Malik, who has been conferred Vir Chakra for his bravery during Operation Sindoor.

The school authority described him as a son of the soil of Manipur whose gallantry has brought immense pride to the state and the institution.

His courage and recognition serve as an inspiration for all and stand as a reminder of the remarkable legacy of Sainik School Imphal, it said.

Highlighting its role as a cradle of leadership that has nurtured numerous military leaders and bureaucrats over the years, the institution noted that the award to squadron leader Rizwan Malik further strengthens that legacy.
