Thang-Ta medallists, team members felicitated

Imphal, April 17 2025: Thang-Ta players, who were part of the state team which won the overall champions title (U-14 & 19 Boys & Girls) in Thang-Ta competition of the 68th National School Games Championship 2024-25, were felicitated at Thang-Ta Shanglen, Yumnam Huidrom on Wednesday.

In a release, Huyel Langlon Thang-Ta Association, Manipur informed that the felicitation function was attended by Rastrahit Sarvopari Sangathan founder president Sohan Giri as chief guest and World Thang-Ta Federation president Huidrom Prem-kumar Singh as president, while 10 times Mr India Ksh Bhaktakumar, BJP Manipur Pradesh vice president Laishram Meenabanta and folk lyricist MM Indrajit alias Meiraba were guests of honour.

Irungbam Bomson, Chanamthabam Poireiton, Loitongbam Athoiba, Nongthom Urejis, Thokchom Mahesh" Singh, Elangbam Jetly Singh (U-14 boys' gold medallists); Phamdom Sweety, Wahengbam Alona Devi, Moirangthem Chanchan Chanu, Khaidem Bemiya Chanu, Heigrujam Yaiphabi Devi, Lanngambi Huidrom (U-14 girls' gold and silver medallists); Konjengbam Yaiphaba Singh, Khundongbam Tompok Singh, Nongmaithem Bikash Singh, Thingujam Mangal, Sagolsem Rabinash Singh, Khundongbam Panan Meitei (U-19 boys' gold, bronze medallists and participants); and Monika Thangjam, Laishram Minarrava, Luwang Chanu Linthoi, Wahengbam Henthoi, Heisnam Ramba Devi and Monika Thangjam (u-19 girls gold medallists and parficipants) were honoured at the programme, which was also attended by officials of the championship winning state team.
