Senapati, Noney ready for Janjatiya Gaurav Divas

A mega event will be held at the Multipurpose Hall, Longmai Part-3, Noney town to commemorate Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas.
During the event, departmental stalls will be opened to disseminate information on government's welfare schemes being implemented through their respective departments.
In addition, the medical department will organise a medical camp.
A similar programme will be held at the birth place of freedom fighter Haipou Jadonang at Puiluanh (Kambiron) village.
To commemorate the 150th birth anniversary of Bhagwan Birsa Munda, Senapati district administration will also celebrate the 4th Janjatiya GauraV Divas at the Multipurpose Hall, DC Office Complex in Senapati.
The event will feature a live connection with the National Mega Event in Jamul, Bihar, where the Prime Minister will address a public gathering and lay foundation stone for and launch some projects.
The event aims to promote tribal art, culture, heritage, and history, highlighting the contributions of tribal communities to India s freedom struggle and their ongoing socio-economic development.
The 4th Janjatiya Gaurav Divas will be celebrated from November 15 to 26 to coincide with the Constitution Day.
The programme includes an IEC (information, education, and communication) campaign on the Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan (DAJGUA) and a Beneficiary Saturation Camp for Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTGs) and other tribal populations.
Throughout the event, SHGs from Van Dhan Vikas Kendras and Manipur State Rural Livelihoods Mission will showcase local handicrafts at dedicated stalls.
Additionally, a health camp for anaemia screening will be held, with various departments providing stalls for scheme awareness and access.
A special felicitation programme will honour tribal headmen and tribal achievers across different fields within the district.
The event will also feature traditional music and dance performances representing various district tribes.
Janjatiya Gaurav Divas, celebrated annually on November 15, honours the contributions of tribal communities, especially in India's freedom struggle.
It also marks the birth anniversary of Bhagwan Birsa Munda, a tribal leader and freedom fighter.
